Abetone is a small skiing resort at 1400 metres on the sea level , near the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. You can go here on snowboarding from December to the end of March. It is only about 90 minutes from Florence, so that many Florentines go there skiing and snow boarding.

If you are planning a city break, this is probably a best thing you can choose!
