The Krypton company is the creative source of this cultural space. It sets up experimental works of art and readings of classics, both old and modern. Different activities take place within the theater, some of which are for children.
A meeting place for Florences's cinema lovers, this small theater is only metres away from Santa Maria Novella. From October until July, it organizes series and retrospectives of directors' films in their original language. There are also meetings with directors and presentations of independent Italian films. It does not have disabled access.
The Anfiteatro is an open air auditorium where different bands play live music free of charge every night. It is open from June until September. Immersed in the greenery of the Cascine Park, the venue has become an almost iconic part of Florentine summers. The area surrounds with pubs, pizzerias and stands selling arts and crafts which are open all night. Sometimes there are also some theatre or shows with famous Italian comedians or storytellers.
With its central location, great disco music, live acts and a lively atmosphere, great number crowds are attracted to this club. Mondays are reserved for hip-hop, which attracts an American crowd. Tuesdays focus on house music, while Saturdays are always packed. Reservations recommended for big-name acts.
Located next to Piazza della Liberta, With two comfortable halls with very good acoustics is the Perincipe CG. The programs are always carefully selected and skilfully balance the newest releases and the great Italian and foreign films, not just from the Cecchi Gori house. As in all CG cinemas, here, you can enjoy popcorn, ice cream and beverages between showings at the bar directly in the lobby. Show times vary accordingly.
